The Chiffons had cut a #1 song earlier in 1963 ("He's So Fine"), and now found themselves another "fine" tune in "One Fine Day" written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King. Carole King created the famous piano riff which introduces the song, and The Chiffons took this recording produced by The Tokens to #3 on the pop charts during the summer of '63.
