The Last Neanderthal Movie

Neanderthals dominated Europe for some 200,000 years until modern humans began moving into the region about 45,000 years ago. The two human species shared the Middle East for about 10,000 years between 45,000 to 35,000 years ago, but it's a mystery what happened during that period, and why Homo sapiens prevailed in the end.

Current archaeological evidence has placed the last known Neanderthal refuges on the Iberian Peninsula about 25,000 years ago, home to current-day Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar. Some of the very last remains found at Gibraltar indicate some of these last Neanderthals were hybrids part Neanderthal and part Homo sapien.
