This was a important battle in the history of the Romanian independence war 1877-1878 , The Grivita Redoubt was conquered with the price of 9000 Romanian Soldiers . When the soldiers were under the walls the officers of the 3 Battalion , Special Division said " Haideti bai ca vo i-au altii inainte , gornist suna atacul " in English , " Come on boys someone else is in font of us , sound the charge " so we can say that in that day everyone wanted to be first in the Redoubt
